Scope of Work: Glades Road Diverging Diamond Interchange. ![]() Type of Closure: Full closure, partial closure.Glades Road / Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) Activitiesįor the latest updates on the Glades Road/I-95 Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) visit: To ensure public safety, pedestrian and cyclist access will not be permitted until the outside lanes are reopened, currently anticipated early January 2023. The outside lanes remain closed to facilitate minor drainage work, paving and fencing operations. The two inside lanes of the Clint Moore Road bridge over I-95 are open to traffic. To ensure pedestrian safety, the norther sidewalk will remain closed, and pedestrians will be rerouted to the southern sidewalk at Airport Road and Renaissance Way. Additionally, two 7-foot bike lanes will be open for cyclists in each direction. A fourth lane in each direction will be opened once drainage installation and additional work is completed. The DDI is open in a temporary configuration with three lanes open for motorists in each direction (East-West). Law enforcement officers will be on site to assist motorists.Use the overhead signage, signals and pavement markings to navigate the new configuration.Please slow down (35 mph) and use caution as you approach the interchange as the existing westbound movement will become the new eastbound movement and the existing eastbound movement will be the new westbound movement.The Glades Road at I-95 Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) is now OPEN. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue, Congress Avenue and SR-794/Yamato Road.ĭiverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) Implementation.Closure due to new overhead sign installation.I-95 Southbound at Congress Avenue Full Nighttime Closure.The Clint Moore Road Bridge over I-95 will be fully reconstructed and the Glades Road bridge over the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) railroad tracks and Military Trail and the I-95 bridge over the C-15 Canal (between Peninsula Drive and Linton Boulevard) will be widened. Shoulder-mounted sound barrier walls will be constructed along I-95 northbound between Clint Moore Road and Linton Boulevard, ground-mounted sound walls will be installed on the south side of Yamato Road east of I-95 adjacent to the University Heights Community and along I-95 northbound south of Linton Boulevard adjacent to the Tierra Verde Community. Additional project improvements include overhead sign structure installation, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and Express Lane markers, new signalization, lighting, signing and pavement markings and ramp signalization at five interchanges from Glades Road to Linton Boulevard. The scope of work includes reconfiguration of the SR 808/Glades Road Interchange to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). Access to the Express Lanes will be provided via two designated ingress and egress locations-between Glades Road and Spanish River Boulevard and between Yamato Road and Linton Boulevard. One lane will be added and the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane will be converted to create two Express Lanes in each direction the number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Scope of Work: 95 Express Lanes Phase 3B-2 will extend the existing Express Lanes north from just south of Glades Road to south of Linton Boulevard in Palm Beach County. ![]()
